Since yesterday operation has started in Bara Khyber Agency against Taliban. Bara is Headquarter of Lashkar-e-Islam, an organization known to be affiliated with Intelligence agencies, and its leader Mangal Bagh avoided confrontation with Government forces. The operation will bring the Government writ to the area relieving the people from the control of religious forces.
At office I am trying to organize work by starting my office work by starting Microsoft Outlook on PC and updating Tasklist for the day. It always helps to make a tasklist at beginning of day and drawing a line across tasks completed.
One concern which keeps bothering me is that if Taliban take over and there is a general chaos, how will I get reliable transplant medicine and how will it be paid.
I had Kidney Transplant on August 2, 2007 at Shifa International Hospital Islamabad. My younger brother donated me a kidney.
At present I am taking following medicines:
- Neoral (Cyclosporine) 75mg 1+0+1
- CellCept 500mg 2+0+2
- Deltacortil (prednisone) 5mg 1+0+0
- Loprin (aspirin) 75mg 1+0+0
- Carsel 25mg 1+0+1
- Norvasc 5mg 1+0+0
- Cardura 2mg 0+0+1
I keep worrying about my Transplanted Kidney. Some other day I will post what happened to my kidneys and what I went through. Today in Provincial Assembly I mis-stepped on a step with right foot and got a shock to my right…and made me worry for hours if anything happened to kidney on right. But everything seems normal.
Peshawar is almost surrounded. The other day they came inside the city and took away 16 people. From my village Jamrud they kidnapped 14 khassadars, the local Govt militia. From Peshawar they have started kidnapping “fashionable” and “modern” women. I joked that they are taking them for marrying them to Mujahiddin thus “reforming” the ladies . But this lashkar-e-Islam in Bara is reputed to be operated by ISI for countering Taliban. Thus imposing religion on our kids while our forces enjoy city life with families and their kids get good education.
