Hi!
My name is Amjad Shahid Afridi. I am male , 48 years of age. I belong to tribal areas of Pakistan. At present I am Civil Servant with posting at Peshawar, Pakistan. On August 2, 2007 I had a kidney transplant, and I remember before transplant and after how I was searching internet for Renal failure, dialysis, transplant and related case studies and stories. so this site is my attempt to give the world a running commentary on my experiences of transplant.

This Photo is mine at dialysis a few days before kidney transplant, it was taken by my younger brother who donated me a kidney.

Mr. Amjad Shahid Afridi,
I found your site after I wrote about my kidney stones, and WordPress automatically generated a link. I see that you have had much more trouble than myself, and that you are living in a dangerous part of the world. Yet, I see that you were blessed to receive a kidney from your brother–on my birthday, no less.
I hope you stay safe, and that you continue to enjoy good health. As an American, let me say that I hope that our military can someday leave your part of the world in better shape than they found it.
Blessings to you, your family, your people, and your country,
C

Amjad,
You may remember me from KU days when we worked on a physics paper
and submitted that to a journal. You may also remember living in McCollum Hall at KU. Sorry to hear about your renal failure. Keep up the good work and write to me some time.
