Yesterday Taliban made announcements in our home town Jamrud, Khyber that beards are no more to be shaved. Seems like I won’t be able to visit my home town anymore.
I am back to blogging after some months. I have time too because I am on 4 months vacations; just fed up from routine job. Alot has changed since my last blog. Taliban have finally come to our village and are looting trucks to Afghanistan every 2nd day. They go round the town in powerful vehicles carrying AK47s and Bazooka rocket launchers. They certainly are not locals. They have long hair and beards and wear jackets.
In the area where there had been Taliban and Police battle the other night, last night someone has blown up with 6 bombs the power supply lines to Peshawar. Its extremely hot and humid, and people in suburbs and Peshawar are in miserable condition.

Army cobra helicopters are flying over Peshawar suburbs where taliban have surrounded a huge Police convoy. A police officer seriously injured has been brought to hospital.
A huge police convoy has been surrounded by taliban in suburbs of Peshawar and shot at from three directions. The battle is still going on.
I was just listening to a former ISI chief on TV talking that 90% of its activities are for identifying defense threat and oh he said it took lead role in independence of other Muslim countries. Really, how come it did not learn of defence threats developing next door to its head quarters in Lal Masjid Islamabad in form of grouping training of terrorists/extremists in middle of the Capitol. And who authorizes ISI to work for independence of other countries, does our constitution permit that?
I feel that our bureaucracy and forces are no match to taliban . They need some in command here with personal committment to eradicate them and taliban would then know that there is no chance.
So far Taliban have not threatened cinemas, they are threatening and blowing up the CD shops and internet cafes.
