In the area where there had been Taliban and Police battle the other night, last night someone has blown up with 6 bombs the power supply lines to Peshawar. Its extremely hot and humid, and people in suburbs and Peshawar are in miserable condition.
Peshawar Police chief says taliban repelled and firing stopped

Army cobra helicopters are flying over Peshawar suburbs where taliban have surrounded a huge Police convoy. A police officer seriously injured has been brought to hospital.
A huge police convoy has been surrounded by taliban in suburbs of Peshawar and shot at from three directions. The battle is still going on.
After the Soviets left Afghanistan, kalashnikovs were common and so cheap in tribal areas between Pakistan and Afghanistan that you could buy an AK-47 for US$100, but now there are no more guns or cartridges for sale and costs are so high that an AK-47 costs now over US$1000. Rumors are that the Taliban purchased all the guns or CIA purchased all guns and bullets to leave nothing for Taliban.
Today My brother came from our village Jamrud in Khyber Agency, and said there was a strong rumor that Americans will attack tribal area of Pakistan on 20th July and people were panicking. Also the slaughters and en masse kidnapping of security forces, the situation now is that my brother was saying that when a group of Taliban stopped in Jamrud to take meal in a hotel , all security personnel in a nearby checkpost ran away.
Last night the Interior Minister was saying on television that four Taliban have been arrested and injections have been recovered from them which will be tested if they are lethal. When Taliban came to our village they bought all syringes and injections from medicine shops, and some wondered if they were drug addicts, I thought they stored them for treating injured in fighting, but I also wondered if they used them to intoxicate talibans to fight or go for suicide missions.
